Bad News:

Yesterday, Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire vetoed most of the Bill that would update the current Washington State Medical Marijuana Law passed in 1998 that legalized medical marijuana for certain people.  The update to the law passed the Washington State legislature and would protect certified medical marijuana users and allow medical marijuana dispensaries.

Good News:
Governor Gregoire did allow other parts of the Bill to become law.  Up to 10 patients can pool together to grow a collective marijuana gardens containing up to 45 plants that yield up to 72 ounces of pot.  She also said that she would work with other state governors to downgrade marijuana to a legal category that would allow it to be prescribed by doctors and obtained at pharmacies.

Campy's Comments:
This is good news and bad news, however even if "pot" is downgraded to a legal category allowing it to be prescribed by doctors and obtained at pharmacies, who is going to grow it and who is to set and certify the quality standards to be "medicinal grade."  For instance, I'd worry about who grows it, if any fertilizers are used, if any other chemicals being used, and do the growers let their dog or cat enter the "grow" area?  Imagine vaporizing or ingesting animal urine or poison.   Man... how things change!

National Budget and the $300 Million dollar hang up...

The Federal Gov't projects next year's Revenue to be around $2.17 Trillion minus the Federal Gov't expenses at a proposed $3.82 Trillion equals a Deficit of about $1.65 Trillion

Just how big is One Trillion? 

One Trillion is One Thousand Billion, or a Million Million politicians, asses, douche bags, retards, rocks, village idiots, mental morons, filibustering windbags, dollar bills, or whatever else you can conjure up.

Let's get this straight... last time I checked congress was hung up on about $300,000,000 (3 Hundred Million Dollars) and the topic is... Federal Funding of Planned Parenthood, an organization that does much more than abortions.  

Planned Parenthood, "is the nations leading sexual and reproductive health care provider and advocate."  Planned Parenthood  provides low cost to free medical examinations and treatments for reproductive issues, rape, sexually transmitted diseases, and follow ups, women's health education, and is a community outreach organization, and yes the happen to provide legal abortions only if requested.

 In the big scheme of things it is chump change! Its more like less than one cent of every $100 (one hundred dollars). Thanks again Gabe!

If the Government closes, 800,000 (8 HUNDRED THOUSAND) people will be involuntarily out of work and without a paycheck until our elected wind bags get off the stick and agree to do without something.  800,000 families will not have a paycheck all over Planned Parenthood funding.

Quite frankly this is getting me just a bit pissed off!  According to an article published in "The American Independent"   ( Super Rich  )

"...[The Super Rich]... continue to exploit a controversial “carried interest” tax loophole that allows them to pay a maximum of 15 percent on the vast majority of their income, as opposed to the 35 percent that others in the top tax bracket are required to pay.  (The American Independent, 4/4/2011)"

How much money is that exactly?

"All told, the 175 CEOs that USA Today collected data on made a combined $1.84 billion, with a median annual pay of $8.8 million."

Let's do the math shall we?

35%  minus 15% is 20%.   20% of $1.84 Billion equals $368 Millon

So in short...

The big argument in Congress is whether to cut funding for Planned Parenthood and save $300 Million rather than fix the loop hole that allows the Government to collect taxes and gain positive revenue of $368 Million from the richest 175 CEO's in America?  
Guess who's on each side?  Call your congressman or congress woman!
